In my previous Gen Con post , I essentially teased you with a few pictures of the crowds inside the Exhibition Hall at the convention center. Now for some good stuff: the insanely awesome booth displays and fantastic banners. Companies go all out trying to draw attention to their booth/products. Some of the displays are actually quite amazing. I don’t even want to think about the money it takes to build and ship some of this stuff. Here is a taste of what was there.
One of the many, almost life size, cutouts from the Marvel Legendary card game.
Beautiful display and models for Arcadia Quest.
Archer the card game?
Do I lose geek cred if I don’t know what this?
Look closely at this Blind Ferret banner and you’ll notice Batman and Wolverine kissing.
This makes me really want to play some Dark Age.
I got in a demo of Draco Magi and the artwork is fantastic.
Don’t think I’m a fan of goblins with psionic powers.
I have a thing for women that control fire.
The Game Crafter had what looked like ever single bit they produce on display.
Hey, that’s me! Picture or it didn’t happen.
Pretty sure the Dwarves never made anything so cool.
Love the life size Dungeons & Dragons Drizzt
This was in the artist alley section.
If you were not aware, the Marvel Legendary game is getting a Guardians of the Galaxy expansion.
In one of the main areas outside the exhibition hall they had a section where anyone could add to the ever-growing house of cards.
Never played Hyperborea, is it any good?
The new Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deck Building Game was really hot. So many people were playing it.
What’s a gaming convention without a little Magic the Gathering?
Hey there’s me again, this time with the huge display for Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game
The Marvel Vs System is back and this time expandable instead of collectable. Sadly, they said the cards are 100% the same cards as last time. I bet some of the people that sold their 1,00+ lots on eBay for $5 are a little upset right now.
Mercs Minis
I love Naruto!
Privateer Press
Rivet Wars
Shadows of Esteren
In addition to Star Wars Armada you should also be excited for Star Wars Imperial Assault.
Stoneblade Entertainment
Great looking display for Super Dungeon Explore.
Wild West Exodus
Video games converted to board games is starting to be a big thing. Hopefully The Witcher lives up to its foundation.
