I really like coordinating couple's cosplays. And it doesn't get much better than Star Wars. These two costumes, a bounty hunter and a Twi'lek, are great and seeing outstanding cosplays like this is a huge reason why I enjoy going to conventions. What is your favorite alien race from Star Wars?
Marvel's Black Cat. I always enjoy the Spider Man comics that feature Black Cat. Even in high school, Peter Parker always had a way with the ladies. Have you read any of the new comics where Mary Jane is with Tony Stark instead of Peter? It's about enough to bring out the pitchforks. For those that are really into Spider Man and Black Cat, I found this cool salt and pepper shaker set.
Here's another cosplay picture that I took at Gen Con, but I don't know if the character is from a game or completely made up. The costume is fantastic either way. I really like the antlers and the blue accents in her hair. Also, I have that same potion bottle and holder. I can't remember if I bought mine at DragonCon or at the Renaissance Fair.
I'm not cool enough to know who this person is cosplaying as. Anyone know? Admittedly, it seems I only ever know about half of the cosplays that I see. I still think they are all very cool, if for nothing else than the time and effort it took. If you know who this character is, please leave a comment. Thanks.
Who is your favorite X-Men character? For me, this is a very tough question. Iceman? Phoenix? A lot depends on the decade, really, since the characters and even the lineup of the team changes so frequently. Psylocke has always been on the top of my list though. While it is hard to champion her as my absolute favorite, mixing ninja / martial arts action with psychic powers is pretty darn cool. Not to mention her psy-blade.
Have you seen the cute Funko POP vinyl actio...
Loki, typically an enemy of Thor, has aided his brother as well. Loki is the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent Jörmungandr.
I always like seeing cosplays of Loki, in all of his forms. The horns on this one are great and I really like the fur cape as well. What are some of your favorite cosplays?
Loki Funko POP Figure.
Looks like this poor chap got bit while at his prom. That's sad, but it makes for one heck of a zombie costume. This image was taken at the Zombie Walk during Dragon Con, and this guy never broke character. Some of the "zombies" on the walk were very chatty with each other, simply walking along, not acting like zombies at all. But this guy, he brought the fear. It was chilling watching him stumble closer and closer.
Don't get left without a weapon during the zombie ap...
This is by far the most amazing pirate costume I've ever seen. I'm simply in awe. From the contacts, to the beard ties, to the feathers in his hat, the details are outstanding. Picture taken at Dragon Con back in 2012. I wonder what this guy cosplays as today?
Argh! Get your pirate on.
I love seeing group cosplays. This is especially true when the group contains characters that might typically get left out, such is the case with the great Peter Pan focused cosplay featuring Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, and the croc. I don't think I've ever seen someone cosplay as the crocodile before. And Smee looks great too! What's the best group cosplay you've seen?
Get your hook on!
Gamelyn Games, the publisher behind the "Tiny Epic" series of games, has a great mascot. If you are lucky enough to go to a large gaming convention like Origins or Gen Con, chances are you'll see the Gamelyn Knight at the Gamelyn Games booth. This is one fine looking cosplay. I applaud the level of detail and would love to see more companies create logos that they can bring to life. Do you know any other companies that cosplay?
Jon Snow, everyone's favorite Crow, from the book series A Song of Fire and Ice. Will you follow the King of the North? Who is your favorite Game of Thrones character? Were you able to catch the season finale on HBO?
Waiting for the next season is always so painful. Thankfully, there are plenty of fine cosplayers out there, like this gentleman cosplaying as Jon Snow, that I can get my Game of Thrones fix even in the off season.
And if you haven't played the A Game of...
Today's featured cosplay is a whole group of Marvel cosplayers. I absolutely love group cosplay, there is just something about seeing so many iconic characters in one place. This shot was taken many years ago (2013) at Dragon Con in Atlanta. This is actually a small group shot as it had been raining and most of the cosplayers stayed inside; understandably, they probably didn't want to get their outfits wet.
Can you name everyone shown in the image? I'm fairly on top of...
Sauron is one of the best bad guys ever created. As the main antagonist of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, this evil necromancer is responsible for much doom and destruction.
This cosplay of Sauron looks amazing. Sadly, I had just switched my camera to manual mode so I could snap some pics in one of the dimly lit inner rooms of Gen Con and I forgot adjust the settings when I saw this awesome cosplayer.
Who is your favorite character in the LotR?
The Metal Gear series of video games is widely popular and combines a great story with stunning visuals and awesome action to deliver a solid, memorable gaming experience. Here we see a cosplay of Raiden from Metal Gear Solid. Fantastic!
Who is your favorite character from Metal Gear? Solid Snake is a popular answer. Gray Fox, the cyborg ninja, also comes to mind.
The Lego Batman video game was the first Lego game to use voice acting. It also implemented an open world environment. The Lego games rekindled my love for all things Lego, kudos to their marketing/development team, and I now own quite a few Lego Marvel mini figs. Fun fact: Lego is the world's largest tire manufacturer.
Our board game related cosplay of the day comes from the Soda Pop Miniatures booth at Gen Con. Marie-Claude Bourbonnais cosplays as Cerci from the Relic Knights game, whom I believe is a character based on Marie-Claude. If this is true, does that mean she's cosplaying as herself? Mind = blown.

Today's cosplay comes to us from Gen Con by way of the Krosmaster Arena booth. Cosplayer Toni Darling becomes Queen of the Tofus. A new standalone game in the Krosmaster series, Krosmaster Quest, is now available. It looks interesting, as the fully painted minis and 3D terrain is appealing. The idea of questing together, instead of battling each other, has me intrigued as well. With several expansions for Krosmaster already on the market, maybe now is a good time to s...
The aliens in Chaosmos are just plain weird, and rightly so, being partially based on aliens encountered in the book "Interstellar Pig". The fact that one of those aliens, Vroon the Adventurer, has been brought to life is amazing. Chaosmos is a space exploration themed game where players control a unique alien race in search of the Ovoid, the only item in existence that will save you when the universe collapses in on itself. A hidden information game that contains comba...
Today's featured cosplay comes to us from Gen Con 2014. This is a fantastic cosplay of the lady on the Coup box cover (sorry I don't know her name! I don't know the cosplayer's name either, so sorry!). Set in a dystopian future, Coup is produced by Indie Boards & Cards and is a hidden identity and bluffing game.
That outfit is amazing and she looks like she stepped right off of the box cover. For those that might not know, Gen Con is the largest board game focuse...
